It\u2019s part of the largest ski area in Austria; so you\u2019re never short of terrain to explore. If you prefer to stick to the pistes, there are 131km of blue runs to enjoy if cruising is more your style.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"i07vp\"><span id=\"iloq1\">Often rated as one of the top 5 ski resorts in the Austrian Alps, this ski resort is popular with international clients. St Anton makes up one sixth of the Arlberg ski region (other resorts include Stuben, Lech, Z\u00fcrs, Warth, and Schr\u00f6ken), but where to ski in St Anton is often a question we get asked, especially from beginners or those who have wobbly ski legs.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"iwc3t\"><span id=\"i121n\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\" id=\"ipv1t\">\n<div class=\"cell\">\n<div id=\"ig4vf\">\n<h5 id=\"i55ev\"><b id=\"i4z6p\">ST ANTON FOR BEGINNERS<\/b><\/h5>\n<p id=\"iws7i\"><span id=\"i3py7\">St Anton is renowned for it\u2019s off-piste and challenging slopes, however less experienced skiers shouldn\u2019t worry as there\u2019s also plenty of gentle terrain too. St Anton is home to the first ever ski school. Pretty cool if you ask us!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"ihymr\"><span id=\"isuiw\">So is St Anton good for beginners? Well we certainly think so, as it offers not one but two beginner friendly slopes around the Nasserein and Gampen areas in the heart of the main resort centre.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"is19w\"><b id=\"i3yy4\">Nasserein button lift\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p id=\"ilv0c\"><span id=\"icitn\">Just above the bottom station of the Nasserein gondola, this is a great training slope. It\u2019s also super close to our group lesson meeting point, so it\u2019s the perfect place to start.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"ivh6w\"><b id=\"imp0h\">Gampen\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p id=\"ifdvh\"><span id=\"ip27c\">At the top of this gondola (accessible via the Nasserein gondola or Gampenbahn chair from the Galzig end of town) there are plenty of blue &amp; green runs to explore which wind their way down through the trees back into town.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"iaw5f\"><b id=\"i8397\">Osthang\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p id=\"i019p\"><span id=\"ixljj\">Once you\u2019ve got the hang of your turns and keeping in control you can start to think about heading up the mountain a little higher. Osthang (over towards the Galzig) takes you to a selection of pistes to practice and gain confidence.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"izvb9\" src=\"https:\/\/thechaleteditweb.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com\/20768\/St-Anton.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<div id=\"i2olz7\"><i id=\"i8bz6u\">Beginners should not be put off by St Anton, it has a wide range of areas to learn to ski\u00a0<\/i><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\" id=\"icb81t\">\n<div class=\"cell\">\n<div id=\"iein28\">\n<h5 id=\"io2soy\"><b id=\"ii072i\">ST ANTON FOR INTERMEDIATES\u00a0<\/b><\/h5>\n<p id=\"igs60v\"><b id=\"ivfvhh\">Gampen and Galzig\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p id=\"i0151g\"><span id=\"imprsf\">All of these areas have a vast variety of runs for you to choose from. For the higher-intermediate, these offer a multitude of reds and blues to pick from; these areas make up some of the best skiing in St. Anton.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"i5gnrz\"><b id=\"i4gr6u\">Rendl\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p id=\"iv70p2\"><span id=\"i71ine\">Head over to Rendl first thing, as it can be really quiet in the mornings. There are some gentle blue runs and a couple of easier reds to get you warmer up for the day. Rendl is also home to the fun park. Not your style? Grab a deckchair, kick back and watch others take on the kickers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"ibtzri\"><b id=\"ij05gc\">Kapall<\/b><\/p>\n<p id=\"id7jux\"><span id=\"itcc65\">Explore the other side of St Anton, by using the Gampenchair and then head straight onto the Kapall chair. This will open up a huge range of blue, red and black graded pistes to enjoy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"i11ins\"><span id=\"ipzmxy\">If you\u2019re looking for great views, make sure you take in the views from the top of Kapall. Or head up the Valluga I cable or Shindergrat chairlift. Valluga is the highest peak in the area at 2811m.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"ixzn0h\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<h5 id=\"iz8j23\"><b id=\"ipsjcc\">ST ANTON FOR ADVANCED SKIERS\u00a0<\/b><\/h5>\n<p id=\"idnuyq\"><span id=\"itv7g9\">With 123km of red pistes and 51km of black pistes the only problem you\u2019ve got is fitting them all into your holiday!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"iaprj9\"><span id=\"ix7iuk\">Let\u2019s start with the Run of Fame. Advanced skiers listen up, as this should be on your list of pistes to explore. It\u2019s a famous run that will take you from St Anton to the far end of the Arlberg ski area in Warth. A perfect opportunity to experience the variety of slopes and some fantastic scenery that is Instagram worthy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"iqkghs\"><span id=\"iold7h\">Fang Run (also known as black 34) will get your quads burning. This challenging mix of steep groomed piste and deep moguls will definitely test you. It\u2019s a bit of a beast, so we wouldn\u2019t recommend starting your holiday with this one!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"i29or5\" src=\"https:\/\/thechaleteditweb.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com\/20767\/St-Anton-Piste-Map.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<div id=\"im6w5z\"><i id=\"iafucf\">With over 305km of piste St Anton is perfect for all abilities.<\/i><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\" id=\"i1e2dq\">\n<div class=\"cell\">\n<div id=\"i901qo\">\n<h5 id=\"iqjv4m\"><b id=\"iuit2k\">ST ANTON OFF-PISTE SKIING<\/b><\/h5>\n<p id=\"inczg1\"><span id=\"iwf28t\">Where do we even begin? MaienPlatt is perfect for intermediate to expert riders as you descend for around 800m, making it a feel good piste that keeps on giving.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul id=\"io91sx\">\n<li id=\"i74399\"><span id=\"ia7znl\">To access it, take the Galzig Gondola up and take blue 64 approximately halfway down into St. Christoph.<\/span><\/li>\n<li id=\"izqx7y\"><span id=\"iwxq9w\">The track then narrows and takes a sharp right turn. You\u2019ll need to take a left off the piste and this is where the fun begins!<\/span><\/li>\n<li id=\"i6yl31\"><span id=\"icm4eh\">Whizz over the first flat section and onto a steeper section. In the lower part, take a left and cross a little ditch directly under the wooded ridgeline. This section will bring you out back in St Anton\/Ortseil Moos. The slope faces south east, so stay alert to avalanches and be aware of the conditions.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"iw1itu\"><span id=\"i9tz06\">Want to get fresh track, but lacking confidence and knowledge of the area?
