BEGINNERS

Klosters is an absolute paradise for those learning to ski, largely thanks to the Madrisa mountain. Known as the local "family mountain," Madrisa features dedicated, sun-drenched nursery slopes, easy-to-use magic carpets, and the multi-award-winning Madrisa Land - a massive snow park designed to make learning fun and accessible. For progressing beginners, the gentle blue runs around the self-contained Selfranga ski lift offer the perfect environment to build confidence away from busier crowds before exploring the wider region.

APRES SKI & NIGHTLIFE

While Klosters is more discreet than its lively neighbor Davos, it still boasts a wonderfully warm and sophisticated après scene. The tradition begins slopeside at the Serneuser Schwendi or the rustic Gaudy’s Grischabar at the base of the Parsenn run, where skiers gather for celebratory drinks immediately after their final descent.

In the village itself, the legendary Casa Antica is the undisputed hub of Klosters nightlife. Spanning multiple floors in a beautifully converted barn, it has been drawing a chic crowd for decades and keeps the dance floor moving into the early hours of the morning.

For a more relaxed drink, the piano bar at the historic Chesa Grischuna is perfect for a classic cocktail in a refined setting. Alternatively, the lively pool room and bar at the Hotel Silvretta offer a fantastic, casual atmosphere to trade stories of the day’s adventures over a cold beer.

MOUNTAIN RESTAURANTS

The Berghaus Alpenrösli, tucked away on the lower slopes of the Silvretta sector, is a must-visit. Serving exceptional traditional Swiss cuisine, its sun terrace offers stunning panoramic views over the valley, though booking ahead is highly recommended for lunch.

For a unique and rustic experience, head to the Schwendi mountain restaurant on the Parsenn side. It is famous for its lively atmosphere, hearty Alpine dishes, and its signature giant outdoor umbrella bar.

Over on Madrisa, the Madrisa-Hof is a beautifully constructed log chalet that elevates mountain dining. It blends rustic charm with modern Swiss specialties, offering a fantastic menu that caters perfectly to both adults and hungry children.

IN RESORT RESTAURANTS

The restaurant at the historic Chesa Grischuna is a legendary fine-dining establishment, steeped in Hollywood history and renowned for its romantic, wood-paneled dining room and impeccable authentic Swiss gastronomy.

For a highly cosmopolitan vibe, the standard-setting Bundnerstübli offers a cozy, authentic setting right in the heart of the village. It specializes in regional classics like fondue, raclette, and premium local meats, served with high-end Swiss hospitality.

If you are looking for a relaxed, family-friendly Italian feast, Restaurant Pizzeria Al Berto is incredibly popular. Located close to the center, it serves fantastic wood-fired pizzas, fresh pasta, and hearty main courses in a welcoming, bustling atmosphere.

SKI SCHOOLS

The Swiss Snowsports School Klosters is the premier local institution, carrying a long history of excellence. They offer highly professional group and private lessons for all ages, with instructors fluent in English, German, and several other languages.

Ben & Joe's Ski School is a highly regarded private ski school in the valley. They specialize in bespoke, personal guiding and instruction, tailored precisely to families or small groups looking to explore the vast Davos-Klosters network.

Ride and Smile is another excellent boutique ski school option, offering premium, highly flexible private lessons, freeride guiding, and children's coaching with a focus on fun, safety, and rapid progression.
