CONFIRM YOUR BOOKING
Once you are happy with the booking details, you can secure your chalet with a simple deposit. Agree the terms and choose to pay your deposit via bank to bank payment or card.

COMPLIMENTARY PRE-ARRIVAL PLANNING
We want you holiday to be as hassle free as it gets, so we take care of it all, childcare, ski school, transfers, restaurant bookings and activity planning. We will get in touch with you a few months prior to your arrival.
You will never pay more than you would by booking directly with the chalet owner or operator. At The Chalet Edit, our role is to secure the most competitive rates for the finest properties, while offering expert, first-hand advice and truly impartial guidance. We’re here to ensure you find the perfect chalet that offers exceptional value for luxury.

Payment process
Once you’re ready to confirm your chosen chalet, we’ll issue an invoice with clear payment details, a copy of the supplier terms to which you will adhere and a copy of our terms and conditions.

A deposit (usually 25-40% of the total cost) is required to secure your booking, with the balance due by the date specified on your invoice. For bookings made close to your travel dates, full payment may be required at the time of booking.

Payment methods
We accept payment by bank transfer and some chalets accept credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro or Delta). Bank transfer is our preferred method, particularly for balance payments, as it provides clarity and efficiency.

Please note that some operators do not accept American Express and most charge a small fee for commercial card payments. You’ll find the accepted payment methods clearly detailed on your booking documents.

Confirmation
Your booking will be confirmed once your payment has cleared and the chalet owner/operator has accepted the reservation. You’ll then receive a full confirmation from us, along with all relevant details for your stay.

If you have any questions about payment methods or timings, our team will be happy to guide you through the process.
Some chalets require a refundable security deposit prior to arrival. This is held by the chalet owner or operator as a safeguard against any accidental damage, loss, or excessive wear during your stay. Your lead name on booking accepts responsibility for the group’s conduct and for reimbursing any costs incurred.

In certain cases, a sinking fund may also be collected in advance to cover food and beverage costs during your stay.

The security deposit amount and payment method will be clearly outlined at the time of booking. Once you have checked out and the chalet has been inspected, the deposit will be refunded in full, provided there is no damage or outstanding balance.

We recommend that you carefully check the property upon arrival and record any pre-existing damage or issues. If required, complete any inventory forms provided by the chalet team at the start of your stay. This ensures complete transparency for both parties.

No, we don't charge a booking fee. Plus you won't find a better rate elsewhere. We charge the going market rate for every property we rent and sometimes even a lower negotiated rate. Value is very important to us and we continually monitor our pricing. What's more, we work with our clients and owners directly, to secure the best rate for you. Plus all of our clients receive a complimentary concierge service pre-arrival, to help with those tricky booking extras, such as childcare, ski school, transfers, restaurant booking etc.
The Chalet Edit is acting as a referral agent on behalf of the chalet owner or operator. As such your contract is direct with them. The operator/owner terms and conditions will be provided when confirming your booking. It is this booking agreement that constitutes your booking contract and terms to which you will adhere. Please see our Terms & Conditions for full information.
The deposit required will determined by the different chalet owners and operators. You will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit to confirm your booking and adhere to the chalet owner or operators terms and conditions of booking. You will receive full details of your booking upon confirmation that you wish to proceed with booking a chalet.
The cancellation policy is governed by the terms of each chalet rental contract and varies from property to property. The cancellation fees will be set out in your agreed booking contract by each individual chalet owner or operator. The cancellation fees will be determined by the number of days before your departure date. Please contact us immediately should you wish to cancel your booking or if you wish to receive your booking information again.

Absolutely we are happy to price match, but you shouldn't find the price cheaper elsewhere. We charge exactly the same as going directly to the chalet owner or operator. Please contact our knowledgeable sales team to discuss any discounts you have received elsewhere. We always work with our clients and owners directly, to secure the best available market rate.
A valid Winter Travel Insurance policy is always required when booking your ski holiday. When booking your chalet you will be informed that this must be purchased in advance of your chalet holiday. By agreeing to proceed with your booking you understand that it is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate Winter Travel Insurance & Sports Cover. This will cover you in case of accident, illness, loss of baggage or other issues. We recommend contracting the Ski Club of Great Britain for Winter Travel Insurance or using Insure and Go.
FLIGHTS
Some of our chalet operators include flights and transfers to the chalet within the cost of booking. For those chalets that do not include flights unfortunately we can not arrange these for you. However, we would be delighted to recommend the closest airports to fly into. For those looking to fly by private jet or helicopter we have an excellent network of contacts and can assist to get this booked up.

TRANSFERS
Some of our chalet operators include transfers to the chalet within the cost of booking. We are happy to help with transfer bookings to your luxury chalet. Please e-mail your pre-arrival concierge assistant with details of your needs. They will send you a quote and advise how you can go about paying and booking these up.
It's important for us to make your luxury chalet stay as seamless as possible. So, once you have confirmed your booking you will be assigned a 'complimentary pre-arrival concierge assistant' to help you with all of those tricky booking extras. From ski school and transfers to private nannies, restaurant booking and even private jet hire. Let us take the hassle out of it all.
