Keen skiers will be in heaven in the chalet 21 Forty, set in the middle of the piste and with a private indoor pool and sauna this is the ultimate ski-in/ski-out luxury chalet in Les Arcs 1950.

Overview

This truly unique modern chalet is positioned between the beginner plateau and 100 yards from Les Arcs 2000. When you arrive you will be chauffeur driven across the slope in the 6 person piste-ranger. When the resort comes to a stop each afternoon the silence and 360 degree views of Mont Blanc are spectacular as are the sunsets and star gazing.

The state of the art chalet has a modern decor interior with a great range of facilities. Pianists have their own piana which is great for a sing-a-long. The spa area includes a sauna and indoor pool with counter current and outlooks of the mountains.

Service within the private chalet includes full chalet catering from your chef and hosts. Start the day with wake up drinks in bed, followed by a cooked or continental breakfast, you will be greeted after a day on the mountain with your afternoon tea. Going into the evening there will be pre dinner canapes followed by a choice of 2 starters, main, desert and cheese.

Non skiers can also make the most of this incredible location and take in some of the snowshoeing. From the chalet it’s a 5 minute walk to reach the shops, bars and restaurants across the slope at Arcs 2000. More can be found a little further down at Arc 1950. The free Cabriolet lift runs until 11.30pm.

On entering the chalet the modern design and clean steel lines are matched with a striking glass walkway and seating area on a mezzanine level. Outstanding features including double height vaulted ceilings in the living area, all finished in timber and exposed stone. A separate TV room and library offer a smaller area for kids to watch a film or read a book.

The open plan sitting and dining room have the glass-fronted fireplace between them and a large L-shaped sofa is perfect for lounging around after a long day.

The chalet is flooded with light through French and velux windows. Through the evening stylish lighting, suspended from the ceiling, beautifully lights the space.

The bedrooms are made up of 7 en suite rooms. Each can be made up as a double or twin for total flexibility. There is a master suite which is a large 60m2 bedroom and can add an additional bed. This room has high ceiling and exposed timber beams on the ceiling, views from the windows are spectacular.

As well as being well looked after by your hosts and trained chef, there is the option to add childcare with private nanny service, massage or beauty treatment (charged locally)

The chalet would be amazing for families with kids of any age, making the most of the location, facilities. Young skiers can practice their ski skills from the chalet door, or build a snowman!

The luxury ski-in/ski-out chalet is also perfect for a group of friends, in search of a secluded chalet, spa facilities and still be able to easily access the apres ski. Across the piste at the Hotel Taj-I Mah there is a huge sun terrace, where they serve lunches and dinner.

KIDS

This is a dream come true for kids. The location right in the centre of the slopes, wonderful indoor pool and separate TV room allow the kids to do so much. Ski onto a lovely gentle blue piste straight from the door down to ski school, ski back to the chalet at the end of the day. The nannies will spoil the kids rotten through the week and give them plenty to keep them occupied.

GUEST EXPERIENCE

This chalet team focuses on the small details that make a ski holiday memorable, from warm ski boots each morning to dedicated hosts offering local advice. Additional touches include nannies providing a photo album, multimedia sockets, and indulgent services like massages, manicures, and fluffy towels.

The catered stay includes airport transfers from Geneva, chalet accommodation with made-up beds, complimentary toiletries, and daily cleaning. Chalet hosts assist with meals and other needs.

Culinary highlights include a three-course dinner with cheese and coffee six nights a week, along with daily breakfast (cooked and continental), a self-service option on the host’s day off, homemade cakes, and evening canapés. Qualified nannies are available for childcare.

Transfers from Geneva are scheduled at various times, with return coaches ensuring timely transfer for arrival and departure flights.

The breathtaking surroundings of the 21 Forty allow guests to ski-in/ski-out directly from the chalet door onto the beginners plateau. The closest piste to the chalet is the blue Chalets piste, from here skiers can head down to lifts of Jacques chairlift or Varet gondola. Alternatively head further down the slope to Arc 1800 and 1600. Non skiers can also make the most of this incredible location and take in some of the snowshoeing. From the chalet, to reach the shops, bars and restaurants is a 5 minute walk across the slope at Arcs 2000. More can be found a little further down at Arc 1950. The free Cabriolet lift runs until 11.30pm.
