Chalet Arolla is positioned in the heart of Tignes le Lac at a height of 2100m, to the side of the piste for easy ski-in/ski-out access. The superb luxury accommodation can accommodate up to 18 guests across 5 en suite bedrooms, a dorm room and a studio, some with wheelchair access.

Overview

The chalet has been sympathetically built using stone and local wood over 4 floors. The main living space is at the top of the chalet, this allows guests to enjoy the stunning views across the mountain and piste. The generous size and double height vaulted ceiling is kept cosy with a central open fireplace which links 2 seating areas.

The lower floor has the relaxation area consisting of a large indoor hot tub, cool plunge pool, sauna, hammam and seating area. Next door you have the cinema room. At the entrance of the Chalet you will find a wine cellar.

The chalet Arolla has the flexibility to be catered, Bed and Breakfast or dinner only service. Catering is charged individually with children charged at a lower rate.

Set in Tignes Le Lac, this luxury ski accommodation is one of the top Ski-In/Ski-Out chalets in France. Start the day on the Paquis blue piste which runs down to Lavachet or Chaudannes lifts very quickly. The resort centre is 5-10 minutes walk where there are a range of shops, bars, restaurants as well as the ski school meeting point. 

At the top of the road is the free resort bus stop which shuttles to Tignes Val Claret and Val d’Isere.

The Arolla is set over 4 floors and 370sqm, it has been beautifully finished throughout. The lower floor is where the exciting aspects are, the kids will love the hidden cinema room. Behind a bookcase the cinema room has a 82” TV with Bose speakers, Apple TV, Playstation 4, games, books and bar area. Next to this is the state of the art spa with a relaxation area.

The layout of the bedrooms can accommodate many different groups to stay, guests with lower mobility or in a wheelchair have rooms serviced by an elevator to all floors. Bedrooms consist of 5 en suite double/twin rooms, a dorm room with quad bunk beds (ideal for kids), studio with bunk beds, sitting room, kitchenette and private shower room. Each room has been independently styled with wood panelling and mountain carved leather backboards to the beds and have a flat screen TV.

Chalet Arolla offers a truly Tailor-Made stay. As soon as you are welcomed by the chalet manager, they will guide you to everything you need to know about Tignes. On a daily basis the chalet will be tidied, spa prepared and bath and bed linens provided. Snow will be removed from the outside area, such as the entrance and balconies. Ski passes will be delivered to the chalet on the first day and the in-resort concierge service will be able to organise any aspect of your holiday.

BEDROOM LAYOUT

First Floor

1 x Master Double bedroom with shared balcony, en-suite shower room and separate private WC. (Room 4)

3 x Double bedrooms with shared balcony and en-suite shower rooms. (Rooms 2, 3 & 5)

1 x Double bedroom with en-suite shower room. Disabled accessible. (Room 6).

Please Note: There is no toilet in the en-suite shower rooms, with the four double bedrooms (Rooms 2, 3, 5 & 6) sharing a separate disabled accessible WC.

Ground Floor

1 x Studio apartment with bunk beds (sleeps 4), lounge area, kitchenette and private shower room with WC. Disabled accessible.

There is a sofa bed in the studio that can be used for one extra adult or two children. If this works better for your group configuration, please enquire.

Lower Floor

1 x Quad bunk bedroom (sleeps 4) with en-suite shower room and separate disabled accessible WC.

KIDS

With the space to relax and a hot tub to enjoy, children will love the Chalet Arolla, the ideal family friendly luxury ski chalet. Kids can choose to hang out in the hidden TV room, go for a dip in the hot tub, pick up a board game or choose a film. You won’t hear much from them! The easy starts in the morning skiing straight from the chalet make it quick and easy.

Location

This luxury catered chalet is perfectly located with ski-in/ski-out access and only a short walk from town. To get to ski school in the morning it is a 5-10 minute walk in the centre of Tignes. From the chalet skiers can set off on the Parquis piste down to Lavachet or Chaudannes lifts. Skiers and non-skiers have the Large sports centre close by which has an array of activities including a pool with slides and rock climbing
