CHALET CHAUDANNE, MERIBEL, FRANCE

Location is king, especially if that is what you’re after from your luxury chalet in the Alps. Chalet Chaudanne, aptly named (due to its epic central spot), affords the best ski-in and ski-out convenience of lifts, slopes and ski schools. The chalet itself is above a delightful restaurant and the interior is designed to a high standard with sympathetic touches, flecks of colour and all the wooden and stone charm you would expect from a French chalet. The rooms are simple and stylish and the bathrooms are either bijou or shared. A fantastic hot tub on the balcony awaits you too.

This is the closest luxury ski chalet to any lift, anywhere in the mountains - it’s spectacular location is why you would stay here, but it’s a lovely home from home as well. Next to the hub of the Chaudanne, where you can ski-out to the lifts and ski schools, then ski-in to the chalet, down a choice of gentle runs at the end of the day. Les Castors restaurant is below this chalet, it is not noisy only being open at lunch. You are also a short walk to cross the piste to central Meribel. There you can drink in the views of the mountains and enjoy the warm sun on your face. Out here is an outdoor hot tub to soothe ski hardy limbs and enjoy a beverage too. The decor is authentically French with bags of character and warmth. The bedrooms are comfortable and pleasant, especially the large master suite (with bath tub and shower in the room). Not all the loos are ensuite however, just to bear that in mind. The bathrooms are functional and perfectly adequate, with either a shower or bath option. There is one bedroom downstairs off the main living area and 2-3 rooms upstairs. Chalet Chaudanne is your immediate option for a genuine experience of a ski in ski out chalet in Meribel, France.
