Just a short drive from the slopes of Madonna di Campiglio, Chalet Doss is a stunning 400-year-old luxury ski chalet with a hot tub, sauna and so much more. Sleeping 16 comfortably but with the flexibility to accommodate up to 23 guests in total, this converted, traditional farmhouse in The Dolomites is perfect for large groups of friends and family looking for a true luxury Alpine chalet experience.

Overview

This historic luxury ski chalet is beyond unique. Chalet Doss lies in a secluded setting to offer you a true Alpine retreat for your next luxury ski holiday in The Dolomites. It is perfect for those away from the hustle and buzz of the village, whilst still being just 7 minutes from the lifts, with the help of your in-resort driver. 

Character is in abundance at this luxury Italian chalet. Intricately decorated and restored, this is luxury alpine living at its best. The living room is the heart of the chalet with the fireplace as the central point. With unique antler chandeliers and cow-skin rugs, they have perfectly curated traditional touches with style. Thanks to the double-height ceilings and the ample amounts of natural light flooding in through its large windows, this space feels suitably spacious for a large group. And you can take in the incredible vows from the balconies or the terrace. in the warmer spring skiing months, you can sit outside on the picnic table and enjoy some pre-dinner drinks. 

The living room is open plan with the dining area, so you can enjoy times altogether. Perfect for the little ones on a family ski holiday, there is even a separate, smaller dining table, ideal for earlier evening meals under supervision through the kitchen’s ‘serving hatch’. 

The lower ground floor is where the fun begins. Here you will discover a wellness area to aid your R&R.  Complete with a sauna, indoor hot tub and an outdoor hot tub with hydro massage jets, to soothe any aches and pains, you will be able to fully unwind after a long day on the slopes. Or head into the TV snug and games room with a pool table for a game or two before dinner prepared by your private chef. There is something for everyone. 

Chalet Doss sleeps 16 – 23 guests across nine bedrooms. The en-suite master bedroom is found on the top floor and alongside this room is a children’s bunk bedroom sharing the master’s en-suite. Across, the two ground floors, there are 4 further double bedrooms (one with an extra kids bed) and then two family suites with a double/twin bed and additional bunk bed, making these rooms suitable for 4 guests. An annexe, separate to the main chalet, provides the last double/twin room with its own en-suite.  Chalet Doss is perfectly set up for large-group family ski holidays in Italy, or mixed groups of family and friends, with lots of options for the little ones in your group.

KIDS

Chalet Doss is one of our favourites for a family ski trip to Italy. A number of the bedrooms have bunk beds for children, which is ideal for those travelling with little ones. The in-resort driver service makes getting to and from the ski slopes a breeze and when they return, the children have so much to explore. Whether they want to splash in the hot tubs, watch a movie in the TV lounge or play on the pool table, there is plenty to keep them occupied. 

Just let us know and childcare can be arranged, creating more time for you on the slopes, or a chance to enjoy the resort’s nightlife knowing your little ones are well looked after.

Location

Chalet Doss is tucked away, down a kilometre of narrow road on the edge of the village of Sant’Antonio di Mavignola. It is nestled in a peaceful location in the Parco Adamello Brenta national park. The nearest ski lift ‘Colarin’ is just a 7-minute drive away, connecting the two ski areas of Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo, and tends to have no queues. The charming centres of Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo are both less than 10 minutes away from the chalet - and you have an in-resort driver service during your stay. The nearest airports are Milan Bergamo and Verona, both a 2-hour drive away. There is a heliport that can be used by guests within 1 km of the property. Please do let us know if you’d like transfers organised – it’s these touches we know make a holiday really work.
