Chalet du Crêt is a favourite of ours here at The Chalet Edit. Perfectly positioned in a quiet corner of Val d’Isere, this luxury catered chalet is truly enchanting with many of its original features still preserved. We loved relaxing in the lounge in front of the roaring fire before dinner each night – the best way to end the day after being out on the mountain. Then treat yourself to the luxury spa facilities in the chalet, by relaxing in the outdoor hot tub or the steam room.

Overview

Once a cheese farm run by local French monks, Chalet Du Crêt dates back to as early as 1632 is one of Val d’Isere’s most unique catered ski chalets. Found in the quiet hamlet of Le Crêt, just a 3-minute drive from the village centre, this fully-catered chalet is ideal for groups of friends or families sleeping up to twelve guests across six bedrooms.

The restoration of this ski accommodation has ensured that many of the original features can still be seen throughout, but with all of the facilities you would want from a luxury chalet incorporated. The large outdoor hot tub and steam room are ideal for those looking to relax their muscles after a day exploring Val d’Isere’s slopes, and for those wanting to catch up on the latest blockbuster, then the stylish cinema room can be found on the first floor.

The social heart of the chalet is the open plan living area with a double-height ceiling over the sofas and a beautiful stone fireplace. The cosy sofas with luxurious throws and cushions, provide an ideal spot to curl up with a good book and drink before dinner. And you don’t need to worry about the children disturbing you as there is a separate den with faux grass, a climbing wall and a snug seating area with a TV allowing for endless entertainment.

Each of the en-suite super king/ twin bedrooms are spread across the three floors, allowing everyone to have their own space to relax and unwind, with two of the bedrooms having private balconies – the ultimate location for a morning coffee with mountain views.

Children will love a ski holiday to Chalet du Crêt. Located in the quiet hamlet of Le Crêt in Val D’Isere, France, Chalet Du Crêt is in a great location, only 5 minutes walk from the shops, bars and restaurants of the village centre, and a 3-minute drive from the main ski lifts. Val d’Isere is part of the Espace Killy ski area and has one of the world’s biggest, best and most snow-sure ski areas, shared with neighbouring Tignes. Chambery airport is just 2 hours away by car and Geneva is 3 hours away.
