Overview

Chalet La Grande Maison is a stunning catered luxury ski chalet found in the middle of Montriond’s village square, which is just a few minute’s drive from Morzine. Combining Chalet La Maison with the Owners Residence, this creates a larger luxury chalet sleeping up to 20 guests.  The Owner’s Residence is just adjacent to La Maison and is also connected through the shared underground parking. The residence is the perfect extension for larger groups offering its own private living areas and a roof terrace complete with a hot tub.

This stunningly restored property, originally designed by an Italian architect during the reign of Louis XV, is a unique home from which to enjoy a winter holiday. Chalet La Grande Maison has managed to seamlessly blend all that is good about a traditional ski chalet with the magical design inspiration of a historic grand residence. Luxury touches can be seen everywhere, whilst remaining incredibly tasteful throughout.


The top floor of Chalet La Grande Maison is a huge open-plan space, which has split into three distinct zones, to allow for maximum socialising opportunities. The main salon area features a large chandelier by Brand van Egmond and bespoke luxury sofas from William Yeoward, which are the perfect spot to enjoy a drink whilst taking in the beautiful views of the Nantaux peak. Secondly, the library offers a level of privacy from the main space, with comfortable armchairs and a swing set by the first of two fireplaces. Thirdly, there is the bar area which is laid out in a lounge-style around the second fireplace. The bar area also has a full-sized pool table and another balcony with views over the village square.

Heading down one floor and you enter into the heart of the chalet and where you will be wined and dined throughout your stay. A baby grand piano sits between the floating wine cave and the main dining room. This is a luxurious space where you will fuel up each morning before heading out to ski and enjoy private dinner parties in the evenings, all courtesy of your skilled private chef. Stepping outside and you will discover some of the extensive private spa facilities with an outdoor hot tub and barrel sauna.

The ground floor is where you will find the impressive indoor L shaped swimming pool with a counter-current jet, various massage zones and two large fountains. There is a further indoor hot tub, steam room and relaxation area with loungers set beneath a fibre optic “night sky”. Chalet La Grande Maison also has a raised studio where you can practice yoga or pilates, as well as a dedicated massage room, perfect for easing those tired muscles after a day on the slopes.

You will be wonderfully looked after during your stay at this luxury ski chalet. La Maison offers exceptional levels of service discreetly delivered by experienced professionals, whilst maintaining a relaxing and private atmosphere. The staff have a passion for delicious food and believe your dining experience should be as good as your favourite restaurant. They only employ professional chefs with proven experience in delivering outstanding cuisine. Many have trained in Michelin-starred kitchens and all share a passion for gastronomic delights. The chef will liaise with you prior to arrival to understand your group’s preferences and design a menu based on the finest seasonal ingredients available.

KIDS

With so much space, kids will love exploring each of the different areas of the chalet. The swimming pool will definitely be a favourite for the younger ones, and the perfect spot for burning off any extra energy they may have. After an early kids dinner, they can settle down in front of a movie in the TV snug, whilst the adults enjoy their pre-dinner drinks.

Location

Chalet La Grande Maison is located right in the middle of the village square in Montriond which is part of the Morzine ski resort. The village itself has a handful of shops as well as two bars and a restaurant, and it is a short drive into the main centre of Morzine. Skiing is easily accessed by the Ardent lift which is just a 10-minute drive away and grants access straight into the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area.
