Authentic atmosphere, original charm and a welcoming ambience, Chalet La Grange Au Merle is truly one of a kind and is a wonderful luxury retreat when visiting Châtel. This traditional farm chalet in the vast Portes du Soleil ski area is perfect for both friends and family seeking a stylish chalet that has maintained its traditional Savoyard character.

Head up to the first floor, which is where you will find the open plan living space – the heart of the chalet. Take in the amazing alpine views while you enjoy a drink at the cocktail bar, or get cosy in front of the log burning fire with your freshly prepared afternoon tea. The kitchen overlooks the living area with rustic wooden panelled drawers and a black granite work surface. You can watch your private chef in action from the ‘chef’s table’ beside the kitchen, and it is also great if children need to be fed separately.


Chalet La Grange Au Merle has something for everyone, which is why it is such a popular chalet. A dedicated TV snug is home to a large television with a selection of DVDs, games, toys and craft supplies. On the mezzanine, a library offers a peaceful space to settle down with a good book or magazine. For relaxation after a hard day on the slopes, there is no better place to unwind than in the outdoor hot tub, whilst taking in the incredible views. There is also a sauna and the option to book a massage for a full R&R experience. 

Along with spacious accommodation over four floors and a garden, there is also a convenient covered garage for two cars located beside the property.

This luxury catered chalet sleeps up to 14 guests across 5 bedrooms. Each has been tastefully decorated and have access to an en-suite bathroom. All open onto the southerly balcony or a garden terrace with the exception of the mezzanine bedroom which sits beside the library and children’s den. Throughout you will find Egyptian cotton bed linen, fluffy towels, bathrobes and luxurious toiletries.
