The Chalet Marais Rouge is a stylish and modern chalet with breathtaking panoramic views of the entire Verbier valley below. We’ve seen it close-up and though it's a little tricky to access up the 120m long path to the front door, once you do - you’re in seventh heaven. The living room is fabulously spacious with multiple comfy sofas, and a great cinema room below to chill in, not to mention an amazing outdoor hot tub on the South West facing terrace and a wonderful sauna room. Despite the long steps, the Medran lift station is just a 5-minute drive away and Place Centrale is just a 7-10 minute walk. With all the practicalities included from ski boot room to WiFi /iPod docking station, even a characterful open fireplace, this Verbier ski chalet is a wonderful haven to unwind.

Located at the top of 120m stone path the commanding views alone are outstanding. With a cinema room, sauna and outdoor Jacuzzi, any effort to reach this luxury ski chalet is totally worth it. What’s more this chalet comes complete with a driver service and the Medran lift station is just a 5-minute drive away or under 10 minutes walk.

Generously spread out across 3 floors, Chalet Marais Rouge sleeps up to 13, in 6 bedrooms. On the ground floor are 2 en-suite double bedrooms, 1 en-suite twin bedroom and one triple room with a double bed and single bed plus en-suite facilities. On the top floor are two bedrooms with Austrian twin rooms that share a bathroom. Each of the bedrooms are impeccably finished with fine linens and fabrics, colourful throws and cushions – each with big picture windows and double doors framing those exceptional mountain views.

The enormous double-height open-plan living and dining area is filled with light from the wrap-around big picture windows, where from every vantage point, you can see the incredible mountain and valley vistas. An array of big comfy sofas and an assortment of cushions are perfect to snuggle into in front of the open fireplace. An enormous oak dining table adjoins the space next door and behind is the stylish modern kitchen.

With a personal chef, and chalet host on hand to sort out the finer details, you can enjoy canapes and a drink on arrival, cooked breakfast and gourmet dinners 6 days a week and tuck into the honesty bar at your leisure. Indulgences continue with the fabulous outdoor Jacuzzi to soak into with a well-deserved drink or try the wonderful sauna. All manner of high tech entertainment is on offer here with a media Cinema room, flat-screen TVs dotted around and a DVD player. A ski room on the lower floor is a marvel for guaranteeing toasty ski gear for the next day on the slopes.

Chalet Marais Rouge is fantastic for kids, both inside and out. Spread across 3-floors, there’s plenty of space for children to roam around in from the cinema room to the outdoor hot tub and vast living area. The surrounding outdoor space is a joy for kids to explore and make snowmen. A concierge service is available to manage extras such as ski lessons to childcare, and remember your personal chef is rolling up sleeves at the ready with kids’ meals too.

We recommend Chalet Marais Rouge for families with children of 3 and over, as it is not easy to access the chalet with prams, as there is a 120m climbing path to the front door.

Just a 5-minute drive to the Medran ski lift, and a 7/10-minute walk to the resort centre, Chalet Marais Rouge is a great destination ski chalet to explore the slopes and the exclusive resort of Verbier. Sion airport is just 45 minutes away and Geneva 2-hrs away by car.
