Traditional design and stylish interiors, Chalet Schlumatt is one of a kind, and is the perfect choice for a self-catered ski holiday to Zermatt. Sleeping up to 8 guests, it is great for both friends and families. And it is only a short walk from the main Klein Matterhorn ski lift.

Overview

Chalet Schlumatt is another example of the work of the famous Zermatt designer Heinz Julen. Found on the third floor of the ‘Haus Pegasus’ building, this luxury self-catered apartment has been beautifully designed in every way. 

Wood and stone work together to create a traditional feel, whilst the quirky and modern interiors create something unique. The lounge area is where you will see most of Heinz Julen’s influences. Unwind after a day on the mountain on the large leather sofas,  and with the fire lit, these areas feel so welcoming. Plus, you can enjoy fantastic Matterhorn views through the floor-to-ceiling windows and from the balconies.
 
Being a self-catered chalet, you want to feel at home. The kitchen is open plan with the lounge and dining area and is a fully fitted Pollinger kitchen with Miele appliances, a large oven, induction hob, dishwasher, coffee machine and the usual kitchen appliances and brushed glass worktops. And if you want to head out to try some of Zermatt’s delicious restaurants, they are only a 5-minute walk away.
Chalet Schlumatt sleeps 8 guests across four bedrooms. The apartment consists of one double en-suite bedroom and three double/twin bedrooms which share two bathrooms. Three of the four bedrooms have spectacular Matterhorn views and all have TVs.

Chalet Schlumatt is a great luxury family-friendly ski chalet in Zermatt. Being close to a blue run means that getting on and off the slopes is a breeze. The chalet is cosy and welcoming inside, perfect for movie nights together with a hot chocolate.

Location

Positioned on a blue run, Chalet Schumatt is conveniently situated on Schluhmattstrasse. You are also only a 3-minute walk from the main Klein Matterhorn Ski Lift and 8-10 minutes from the main high street of Zermatt. Zermatt is a car-free resort, so access is usually via train from the last stop at Tasch – it takes 10 minutes to Zermatt. You can also be picked up by a private vehicle all the way to Zermatt main train station. The nearest airport is Sion, 1hr 30 minutes away and Geneva and Zurich 3hrs 30 minutes.
