Understated glamour and a highly exclusive address, Chalet Tomkins is an incredibly luxury ski chalet in Meribel, perfect for those looking for something little special. The original Chalet Tomkins was built in 1958 by Sir Edward Tomkins, one of the founding fathers of Méribel, so you will be staying in a truly one of a kind mountain retreat! 

Overview

Built in 1958 by one of the founding fathers of Meribel, Chalet Tomkins is an iconic luxury chalet perfect for both families and friends. Located on the Route des Chalets, which is the most exclusive address in Méribel, you are right in the heart of Meribel.  The main piste into town (Doron) is a couple of minute’s walk from the chalet and the piste is accessed just above the fast six-man Adret chairlift, which means you don’t have to go to Chaudanne.  During most of the season, it is possible to ski directly back to the chalet.

This luxury chalet was rebuilt in 2002, combining original local artefacts and family heirlooms with sumptuous soft furnishings to create a cosy yet sleek atmosphere. Chalet Tomkins is spread over 4 levels and has every facility you would expect from a luxury ski chalet. There is a Jacuzzi and sauna for those wanting to ease their tired legs after a day on the slopes, and the billiards and cinema room are great for after-dinner entertainment.

The chalet sleeps up to 12 adults or 14 with children across 6 en-suite bedrooms. The chalet had a full interior refurbishment and provides a comfortable and sociable environment, ideal for larger groups as well as offering just a hint of glamour too! It is the perfect base to unwind in tranquillity and comfort after a hard day’s skiing in the heart of ‘Les Trois Valleés’.

The chalet is available on a fully staffed basis with food and drinks costs extra or on an all-inclusive catered package.

Chalet Tomkins is a fantastic luxury ski chalet for families. There is a games room with a pool table, large TV and games which will be a fun spot for the kids to enjoy whilst the adults enjoy their dinner.  The location couldn’t be easier for getting to ski school in the morning, and you have an in-resort driver service to help you get around too.

This owner provides the freedom to tailor your ski holiday to your unique preferences. Recognising that each group has different expectations, they offer a variety of options to suit your needs. The all-inclusive (tout compris) option provides a fully catered chalet experience, featuring seven days of cooked or continental breakfasts, afternoon teas, and six nights of an open bar with sumptuous three-course evening meals. For children, there is a two-course option at a reduced price. The à la carte service offers more flexibility, with food and drink charged at cost, allowing you to customise the menu and the number of courses. 

Location

Chalet Tomkins is in one of the most desirable locations within Meribel. The main piste into town (Doron) is a minute’s walk from the chalet, and the piste is accessed just above the fast six-man Adret chairlift which means you don’t have to go to Chaudanne. During most of the season, it is possible to ski directly back to the chalet. Chambery airport is just 1h 15m by car and Lyon and Geneva around 2hrs away.
