Its prime location in the centre of town means it is just a stone’s throw from the Zermatt’s buzzing high street and only 500m from the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise which allows you direct access to the main ski area.

Overview

Set over two floors, The Christiania Penthouse is a spacious luxury ski chalet apartment sleeping up to 14 guests. Completed in 2017, this stunning penthouse apartment is one of Zermatt’s most enviable properties.

There is a lift that runs throughout the property and opens directly into the living area should you have guests visiting. This upstairs living space is where you will find the elegant open plan sitting and dining area. During the day, sunlight fills the room through the huge floor to ceiling sliding doors, which also open out onto the sun-drenched balcony – perfect for those warmer spring skiing days. From the large balcony, you can see the majestic Matterhorn.


In the evening, this open living space becomes the perfect space in which to socialise and entertain. The combination of sophisticated lighting with the wood-burning fireplace creates a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. The main dining table can sit up to 18 people, and, if required, it can be extended to seat up to 26 guests.

Rest and relaxation is a focus at the Christiania Penthouse. After a long day on the mountain, you can either head to the private sauna, which is perfect for loosening aching muscles or snuggle down in the cinema room with your favourite movie. 

Christiania Penthouse occupies the top two floors of the brand new Christiania Residence. On the lower ground floor of the building, there is a well-equipped gym with a massage room and shower area. The ski room has private lockers for each apartment and there are heated boot warmers.

The Christiania Penthouse can be taken alongside other apartments in the building to create the perfect corporate chalet in Zermatt. The dining table can sit up to 26 people if required. Combine with Christiania Apartment 7, to sleep 26 people. 

This beautiful penthouse apartment is available fully catered, on a bed & breakfast basis, self-catered with daily housekeeping or on an accommodation-only basis.

KIDS

The cinema room will be a favourite for the kids. After a day exploring the mountain, they can settle down in front of their favourite blockbuster with some popcorn, whilst the parents enjoy pre-dinner dinner drinks in front of the fire. Ideally located close to the Zermatt’s centre and the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, getting to and from ski school couldn’t be easier.

Location

Christiania Penthosue is in a prime location in the centre of town and only 500m from the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise which allows you direct access to the main ski area. The chalet is approximately 3h and 30m from Geneva & Zurich airport, however, the closest airport is Sion at 1h 30m away. As Zermatt itself is pedestrianised, taxis and shuttle trains are available to take you the last 10 minutes of your journey from Täsch. If you choose to drive or hire a car there is secure parking just 5km outside of Zermatt in the village of Täsch.
