La Grande Roche is the emblematic Courchevel 1850 luxury chalet offering an unparalleled luxury experience. Set on the side of the mountain in the highly sought after Cospillot district with stunning views of the Bellecote glacier, the chalet is surrounded by fir trees with exceptional views, and just a short walk from the resort centre. The chalet is built from local stone and antique wood features spacious interiors, vaulted ceilings, and a central fireplace.

Overview

La Grande Roche holds one of the most desirable positions within the chic resort of Courchevel 1850, France. The resort centre is just a couple of minutes walk and  incredible views look over the Bellecote glacier and Dent du Villard. Built from local stone and antique wood, the spacious interior has been beautifully designed in a classic wooden chalet style.

Upon entering, there is an immense sense of space (709 sqm). The huge living space with vault ceiling, leather sofas, crystal chandelier and picture windows look out over the fir trees. The wooden panelled walls are adorned with many vintage savoyard pieces. This area is linked with the dining room, linked by a large central open fireplace.

Guests will be able to make full use of the chalets incredible facilities over the week which include indoor pool, hammam, sauna, outdoor hot tub, fitness room, massage room, cinema room, relaxation area, wellness area, poker table and hockey table.

All your needs are met by the chalet’s team of highly qualified and experienced staff. Your private chef will provide breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and your evening meal. The chalet butler will service food, drinks and help you feel as comfortable as possible. To reach the slopes each day or to reach other areas of the resort the chauffeur service operates 12 hrs/day. Finally daily cleaning and maintenance is carried out by the chalet housekeeper who works 10 hrs/day.


Grande Roche is one of Courchevel 1850 flagship ski chalets in the famous Caspillot area, this is an elevated position with views over bellecote glacier and Dent du Villard. From here the main Croisette hub is a 1 minute drive using the chauffeur service. Alternatively the closest slope is 200m away which is the blue Cospillot piste which is a calmer and quieter place to set off. The many boutique shops, bars and restaurants (including 6 Michelin starred) which Courchevel 1850 is famed for are a 1 minute drive from the chalet.

The chalet’s huge surface area is arranged over 4 floors, to sleep 14 guests including 6 large bedrooms and 1 master bedroom all with en suite facilities. The ground floor has a wonderful indoor pool with a suspended swing and seating area. This same floor has the fitness room, massage room, cinema room and games room. Guests can access the outdoor hot tub from the living space on the large terrace.

The master bedroom occupies the entire top floor, and is kept warm and cosy with its own fireplace. Guests have their own dressing, and spacious en suite with a hammam shower.

The interior has been finished to an extremely high standard using noble material, to combine old wood, slate, local stone and elegant designer pieces such as leather, fur, steel lacquer and crystal. All is brought together to offer the most high spec accommodation without compromising the Alpine character.

The outstanding level of luxury accommodation is managed by a highly qualified team. Guests will be greeted with a champagne reception served by your butler. The chalet’s private chef offers many different types of cuisine and catered to each group independently. Chauffeur service is on call to take skiers and non-skiers to any area of the resort. There is also a housekeeper and in-resort management. With the Unlimited Collection nothing is impossible.

La Grande Roche has been designed and finished in such a way that any group would have the perfect ski holiday. Families with children of any age will love coming home to the impressive indoor pool, and evenings spent in the games room playing air hockey or sitting down to a family film will be the icing on the cake for an idyllic luxury family ski holiday.

Groups who are after the apres ski can choose to spend time in the apres ski bars and get collected by the chauffeur or head straight back for champagne in the hot tub, canapes on the large terrace under the outdoor heaters.
