Val d’Isere has one of the prettiest resort centres and this beautifully converted farmhouse chalet is located in a superb central spot in the old town next to the pretty church – and is only a minutes walk from the lifts and nursery slope. It has also recently been refurbished with a new steam room and counter-current pool.

Overview

The renovation of this 200-year-old building has been done with rare sensitivity and marries natural wood, stone and muted toned fabrics, with it all accessorised with a simplistic Scandi style throughout. That is not to say mod cons haven’t been considered, with music systems, Television and wifi all here.

The living room is spacious with the sofas giving more of a daybed vibe making it the perfect place to curl up and read a book or chat about the day skiing adventures. The staff here will ensure you’ve always a drink and something to eat – starting with a gorgeous breakfast and later you had better have worked up an appetite as you’ll have afternoon tea, canapes (on the first and last day) and then, of course, your supper ahead of you.

With the space to relax and the swimming pool will keep the children entertained for hours. Skiing is also easy for them with this chalet being so central so you’ll not have to tire them out just getting to ski school.

The staff at this luxury chalet are also a dream for families, as they start your day with a cup of tea or coffee, sort breakfast and then serve sumptious cake and hot chocolate in the afternoon and will happily do an early tea for any tired children ensuring they can get an early night – and you can enjoy dinner and a glass of wine later.

GUEST EXPERIENCE

This chalet team focuses on the small details that make a ski holiday memorable, from warm ski boots each morning to dedicated hosts offering local advice. Additional touches include nannies providing a photo album, multimedia sockets, and indulgent services like massages, manicures, and fluffy towels.

The catered stay includes airport transfers from Geneva, chalet accommodation with made-up beds, complimentary toiletries, and daily cleaning. Chalet hosts assist with meals and other needs.

Culinary highlights include a three-course dinner with cheese and coffee six nights a week, along with daily breakfast (cooked and continental), a self-service option on the host’s day off, homemade cakes, and evening canapés. Qualified nannies are available for childcare.

Transfers from Geneva are scheduled at various times, with return coaches ensuring timely transfer for arrival and  departure flights.

Location

This luxury catered chalet is perfectly located on the cobbled streets of the centre of town, just a short walk from the lifts or you’ll find it easy to get around to the further reaches of town with free shuttle buses ensuring you can get around quickly. A coach transfer is included and is 3 hours from Geneva (set timings).
