A timeless home as peaceful as the environment that surrounds it, this Loft conversion bring’s a wonderfully welcoming and refreshing feeling to the chalet world, with breathtaking views down the valley, a 200 inch home theatre, chefs kitchen and shared steam room for the ultimate post ski experience.

Immerse yourself in this sensitively restored alpine wonderland, a place where you can truly connect to your surroundings and take in the sheer might of the mountains around you. The interior of the loft is a truly fascinating dichotomy of stripped back natural styling with a luxury finish of the highest degree, which completely re-writes the playbook on winter chalet design

Kick back and sink into the plush sofas and enjoy a film on the 200 inch 4K projector screen, in front of the beautiful fireplace after a perfect day of cruising around the fabulous terrain that the Portes Du Soleil has to offer. Or submerge yourself in the naturistic wood fired hot tub whilst gazing at the night sky with a glass of something suitable. The minimalist theme running throughout The Loft creates a true sense of wilderness, however no expense has been spared when it comes to the finer details – the lavish copper bathtubs for example provide a wonderful space where you can really relax and let your mind wander.

The Loft is the largest accommodation in The Stone House residence, looking down the valley and complete with a chef’s kitchen, sleeping 8 across 3 en-suite double bedrooms and bunk room all with access to the shared steam room. The option of an additional bunk bed can be added to ’The Loft’s Bunk Room.

Located just a 10 minute drive away from the nearest lifts and with great access to the villages many shops which include supermarkets, pharmacies, bakeries, restaurants, bookstore, post office, treasury, hairdressers, real estate agencies, clothing stores, sports goods, furniture and mountain decorations.

The village of Saint-Jean-d’Aulps also benefits from its own ski area, known as Roc d’Enfer, with access to skiing for all abilities between 970-1800m altitude, including a must-do 5km descent through the surrounding forest. Or if a bit of culture is your thing, Saint-Jean-d’Aulps also is home to a local Cistercian abbey, housing the old monks of a by-gone era.

KIDS

The children will love the large decking area and grounds for making snowmen after a day on the slopes, burning off any extra energy they may have. Access to the local lift station and or town is simple as well for dropping off and picking up from ski lessons. The open-plan living area means that the kids can settle down with a movie or board game whilst you prepare dinner and enjoy a drink.

The Chalet Edit is always on hand to ensure you have everything you need before you depart, from kids equipment to dietary requirements, nannies or other special requests.

Set within a sensitively restored stone farmhouse and its accompanying barn, the three properties offer inviting spaces designed for relaxation - think copper bathtubs, steam rooms, outdoor soaking tubs, and crackling fireplaces. Whether gathering for a family celebration, reconnecting with friends, or enjoying a peaceful retreat, each space has been crafted to encourage comfort, warmth, and a sense of place.

The estate accommodates up to 22 guests across the three homes, which can be booked individually or together. Located in the village of Saint Jean d’Aulps, guests are just a short stroll from local restaurants and amenities, and a quick drive or bus ride from both the quiet slopes of Roc d’Enfer and the extensive Portes du Soleil ski area. With thoughtful touches such as reading corners, writing desks, and a home theatre, the experience is as much about unwinding indoors as it is exploring the surrounding mountains.

Location

This charming chalet is located in a lovely peaceful setting in Saint-Jean-D’Aulps just outside of Morzine. It is a short 11 minutes drive into the centre of Morzine and just 12 minutes to the large gondola at Ardent, which offers quick access to the Avoriaz ski area. For those self-driving there is plenty of free parking at the Ardent lift station and paid parking below the Pleney gondola in Morzine town centre. We recommend skiing for 1 of your days in the Sain-Jean-D’Aulps area, which offers 51 Km of relatively easy slopes.
